(no subject)
ok, so I lied about being good about updating. oops. life here is just so busy,and my access to the internet so scarce, that its hard to really just sit down and write out an entry. But life is good. its hard to believe that fall break ended a month ago today. it feels like forever ago, but at the same time, like yesterday. it was a good break- i am now totally and completely in love with paris and want to go back as soon as possible. chris and i had a wonderful time running around the city and seeing everything-we spent 8 hours in the Louvre! It was nice to come back to Orvieto, though, and it really felt like I was coming home. Since then we have gone on multiple field trips, including a three-day weekend tour of the campania region (Pompeii, Paestum, Cuma, etc) which was really fun if not totally exhausting. Its getting close to the end now, and to be completely honest, I am counting down the days till I get back home, and back to Oberlin. I miss it more than I can say- I miss the campus, the people, everything. And as much as I love Italy, I really just want to get back there and resume what has become normal life to me. That doesn't mean, however, that I don't intend on making the most of my last month here! This weekend Chris and I are going to Milan to see Rufus Wainwright in concert and I couldn't be more excited!! Then the weekend after that we are going to Vienna, which should be spectacular. And then its finals week, then my parents fly in and we travel around, then I come home. It should be amazing and awesome and fun, but it should also go by quickly. "Time flies when you're having fun," right?
