Notes: This is my first Doctor Who Fanfic, and the first fic I have posted online anywhere in over 5 years. No beta, and I really just wanted to get this story out here, because it just wouldn't let me be. This fic was great inspired by many things, but concepts in the film Inception definitely played heavily in my mind while writing this fic. However, this is not an Inception crossover...
Disclaimer: I only own the plot everything else belongs to the grand BBC...
Summary: A/N: For now, the summary shall be left in the wonderful words of the Doctor- People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff.

The Doctor often wondered if that was just grand language for saying that his life, particularly after the Time War, was one paradox on top of another. At the end of the day, if Amelia Pond was a fairy tale, than Rose Tyler was his story.
Maybe it was the fact that she took the Time Vortex in her, maybe that was where it started. Maybe it was destiny. Maybe it was the Bad Wolf in her, but at the end of the day, he knew that he could no longer afford to be surprised where she turned up, and in what ways she would cross the universe.
He chooses the white bow tie, hoping that he is right in his assumption that he will end up at Amy’s wedding. He hopes he is, hoping that he might be ready to start anew, finally having some closure. But then, he laughs, popping the top hat on his head with a smirk, the universe never gives him closure- from Sarah Jane and Daleks, to the Master and Cybermen, it seems he is always bumping into his past, even if it is his future...

Mickey Smith hadn’t quite figured out why he was agreeing to this. He knew his ex-girlfriend/best friend was breaking about a thousand Torchwood rules. He knew that he could loose his job, and she hers, if it wasn’t for the fact that her de-facto Dad, was their boss. But she was right, the stars were going out (though no one was willing to admit that yet) and while she wouldn’t admit as much to him, he was fairly certain she had been sleeping less and less - the dark shadows under her eyes had become a permanent fixture.
“Are you seeing these readings Mickey?” She asked, from the middle of the force field they had set up. It looked more literally like and smoke and mirrors to Mickey, but he’d long ago learned not to argue with Rose Tyler.
Instead, he watched as she reached out to a spark that started to form in front of her. He tried to tell her not to touch it, but her hand was already poking at it, and suddenly, she was gone. Folded into the sinister looking gap.
