Almost no knitting done this week on my sweater or anything else. I've had quite a bit of inflammation/pain in my left elbow (arthritis), and knitting aggravates it. Crochet doesn't seem to bother it, though, so I've been working on that a bit. I have so far learned single ( Read more... )

After the Brainiac

So Baby Brainiac took much of my life and crafty energy... so much that I didn't pick up needles for many days after it was packaged and gifted. Note to self. Do not attempt to start a new knitting project when you have a fever. This leads only to frustration, headache, and crankiness.

Well, 2008 is about halfway over, believe it or not, and I have been plugging away at the knitting goals I set for myself this year. I haven't been making nearly as many crafts or crafty posts as I did in 2007, so here's a quick update on the knitting at least, because that's pretty much the only craftiness I've been involved in so far this year...

The three-day weekend is almost here, yay!

The self-designed pattern I was testing for the "manly comfort throw" lap blanket (it's a more "manly" version of the prayer shawl) hit a big snag. AFter having more than 6 inches worked, I screwed up and couldn't figure out how to fix it. I frogged and started over more than 5 times before I gave up for the time being.
