"Career Aptitude"

Dec 11, 2006 14:43

I was sorting through a couple of boxes this weekend, combining my childhood and college memorabilia into one plastic underbed box, when I happened upon my career aptitude scores and explanations from oh so many years ago. Just for fun (yeah, right, fun) I looked at what I was most geared for and least. Most: actor/writer. Least: credit evaluation/accounting. Guess what I do for a living? (hint: it's not acting/writing) Hah! I'm a corporate credit manager, evaluating the creditworthiness of companies and then trying to collect payments from them. No wonder I watch the clock waiting for the day to end...
*depressed sigh*

I also came upon a novel I started writing (and never finished, of course) between 10th-11th grade. I never realized at the time just how autobiographical it was. Plus the characters are the names of real friends and family, with maybe one letter in their name changed, how funny is that? It's so obvious where I got the name. The actual writing, pace, etc, really isn't bad, though, if I do say so myself...
*double sigh*

dreams, reality, career, job
