Paybacks Are a B@#$%
Had Parent teacher conference yesterday. My girl's getting good grades, but seems to have issues with dealing with other children. Apparently, when she works in pairs or a small group, they can't finish their assignment because they spend the entire time arguing about how to do the assignment. My girl, argue??? No. *voice dripping with sarcasm*. Anyway, apparently a few times she's just come right out and said "I'm smarter than you, and I;m right, so we need to do it THIS way". So we had a long talk last night about speaking to people with politeness and respect, whether she disagrees with them or not. You know, even though I haven't spoken with my mother since before the conference, somehow I hear her laughter ringing in my ears. Man, paybacks are hell. I so deserve this after the way I treated my mother growing up. I'm sure the best is yet to come. *sigh*
