A few weeks ago, or maybe more the way time has been flying, I "discovered" a quilt store that was a little far for a lunchbreak trip, but definitely worth a Saturday trek, Quilts Ole, http://quiltsole.com   in Corrales, NM. Lovely, lovely fabrics! I've never seen the swan before, but I totally get where you're coming from. It looks like stained glass!

I think a lot of shop's scrap bags are their leftovers from making models for their stores. In our store, remnants are pieces that are still selvage to selvage and can be measured like regular yardage and scraps that can't be cut into a fat quarter or pieces that aren't selvage to selvage. That was one of the first mysteries I wanted cleared up when I started at HB...how the scraps were priced!

The rest of that panel is just as awesome as the swan, especially the turtle square. Imma have to buy one I think.
