Can't sleep. My mind is running at the speed of sound. Too much going on up there.
It was so great to hang out with my best friends this evening. I treated them to all you can eat sushi then we went out for a walk at this mall and for drinks. Being with them made me realize, as you get older there are only so little people you can trust. This year, well the past couple of years but this year in particular, I learned a lot. I learned that there are people out there who would take advantage, who would pretend you don't exist from one day to the next, who would lie and manipulate. However, the past couple of years I've gained the most incredible friends and that is something that surpasses the feeling of disbelief in other people. But it's hard to believe I've wasted my time and energy on them.
This is why it is so refreshing to come back home and be with those who know you best, and loves you the best way they know how. I can say I have not gained any friendships at this level in New York and it gets lonely. I wish I can move everyone up there to be with me, hehehe.
I'm listening to the new One Republic album and I'm amazed. Definitely a good mix of pop rock, indie, alternative, and r&b.
