I just spent the last two days in Substance Use class, which is a pre-licensure requirement for my LCSW. It cost me 15 hours of my life and $258.00. So that none of you out there will have to give up either, much less both, of those things, I will summarize the experience.
1. Drugs are bad.
2. You should not do them.
3. Even alcohol.
4. Roofies are being administered to helpless young women by hordes of roaming, sexually predatory men who are apparently everywhere.
5. Therefore no drink that you get in a bar is safe.
6. See 1 - 3 and realize that you shouldn't be drinking anyway.
7. If you do MDMA even once, your brain looks more purple than lavender on a brain scan.
8. This is not an excuse to start singing "Purple Brain" out loud in class.
9. Unless you are one of those purple-brained people yourself. In which case you probably can't help it.
10. Spending two days trapped in a small, windowless room with a bunch of social workers is a bad, bad thing.
11. This will drive you to drink.
