Okay, first of all, ever since the Bravo website has revamped (or maybe it's just the PR section, as it's the only Bravo show I watch), I can't find my way around worth a dime. Seriously. I can't even find 'rate the runway' anymore, even with the search, so I don't know how detailed I can get in this post without having the pictures to look at to remind me.
I was sad that Jack decided to leave. He was from Seattle, so I was pulling for him. But Sweet P was right, he needs to think about his health. I felt bad for him though. It was obviously a hard decision to make.
I loved this challenge. I'm huge into weight loss (though I can never seem to lose any weight of my own) so seeing these people who had lost half of what I weigh, close to what I weigh, and more than what I way was truly inspirational. I loved the concept of the challenge, taking their favorite outfits from before and modifying them to fit them now and be amazing was just the coolest thing ever.
I'm glad that they brought Chris back. I was feeling bad for the lady that Jack had because she wouldn't get an outfit or something, and I wasn't sure how the eliminating would work out with someone already gone. I've still been struggling to remember how they handled last season when whatshisname was caught cheating, but that was then. Chris seemed like a great guy, and he seemed fun, so it's nice to have him back on.
I'm starting with Steven, because he got auf'd and I totally agree with the decision. While I feel that the outfit the lady picked out wasn't a real outfit (it was a freaking wedding dress, for crying out loud) and she should have picked something more everyday, Steven totally blew this challenge. He had so much matieral to work with, and really nice material, too. He could have made a really sweet little summer dress. But he chose black and didn't use but an inch of material from the bottom of the original dress to add cuffs and collars. It was crap. Her favorite outfit (cringe) was white, and he just ruined it.
Christian was the winner. While I didn't particularly care for the outfit, I do have to agree that it was very him. That lady was hard to work with: I don't wear color, I don't wear print, I only wear black, I don't want to show leg, or arms, just my black and my jeans. I was like, okay lady, you've lost a lot of weight, show some skin. Christian did very well with all those restrictions, and it really is a good outfit. Just not my style.
I know Jillian did not use the original outfit for most of her dress. And I was afraid when she stayed on the runway way that she was going to get picked apart for it. I was gladd she didn't get chewed out though. Unlike Steven, Jillian picked the exact same color to make her dress, and it was a good dress. She took what the lady liked, and she used it.
I thought that Kevin should have won. His outfit was incredible. It was sexy, and the lady was completely confident in it. I can't wear tubetops, but to make someone who has just lost a significant amount of weight look so self-assured while strutting it down a runway, that's pretty good. And I really did like it.
