Not about corn

Originally, this entry was to be about the evils of corn, but I guess I will push that for tomorrow or someday soon. I just read something that disturbed me greatly. I was looking on amazon to find out which translation of the Koran was best for the average american because I think it is important in today's climate to understand the reasonings behind the terror coming out of the middle east. Most muslims I have known were good people, and I just decided to read their holy book and learn what their beliefs exactly were. In one of the reviews this was written:

It is very simple. Christ said to love your fellow man. Mohammad said to behead your fellow man. Christ said to love your brother. Mohommad said that if they aint muslim then you KILL THEM.
Why read this book? This book is of the Devil God ALLAH not of the true God of Creation.

Curses on Mohommad...

Needless to say it was a one star review. There is tension on both sides, and I think there is a lot of hypocrisy in this man's review. Many people have been killed in the name of my savior, that does not make me a murderer, nor do I enjoy people ripping apart my beliefs just because they think differently. We "christians" for the most part have forgotten the basic principles of everything. Love, and forgiveness, and Acceptance, and the importance of Free Will. After all, without evil, good could not exist. Without Islam and Buddhism and Hinduism, Christianity would be somehow less pure, being the only choice, and not a choice made out of faith.
So, why read this book? So you can see that every word you said about someone else's prophet may be wrong. If I find differently in my reading, then maybe I'll rethink my hating of the review. I'm not muslim, nor do I think I ever will be, but they have a right to live, just as we, worshipping how we choose to the dictates of our own conscience. Should we all become Anti Christian because of David Koresh and the Spanish Inquisition. Every religion has it's bad eggs.
My history has many mormon leanings, and unfortunately breakoff groups represent us in the media, making everyone think we all have ten wives. It's just not true. If people would research other cultures they wouldn't be so quick to say "Curses On (insert name of holy figure here)" . Of course, most americans live in a tiny bubble, and leaving it would give them much pain indeed.
Of course, that too, is a generalization.

Love your fellow man, Twice if you can

Oh, and corn is evil. More on that later.
