Our entertainment for the evening arrived in the form of a mysterious Bengal kitten at our back door. Naturally, since letting an unknown animal into the house with a cat and dog already occupying it would be a terrible idea... we let him right in.
Of course, we made sure he was clean and healthy first; we're not reckless. He turned out to be extremely friendly, in that climb-all-over-you-purring kind of cat way. I don't suppose that makes it any better an idea, but on a cold night like this it seemed like it wouldn't be very good policy to ignore a friendly kitten at the door, either.
So, he's in the spare bathroom with a bowl of water, a litter box, and a floor-set heating vent. I think he'll be quite content.
And, on the off chance that an owner doesn't claim him, his name shall be Lindbergh.
