Hello, just a quick question for you doers of Ryoori: Has anyone seen brown sugar in the supermarket? I saw something that may have been brown sugar, but does anyone know the proper name/kanji for it if it's available?
(This week is finals for my kids, and since Thursday is American Thanksgiving, I want to make Apple Crisp for the poor suckers staff like myself who are still going to be in school after lunchtime. My nenkyu, it is gold...)
And by the way, who else is doing the CLAIR Japanese correspondence course? I am doing the Intermediate level, and while it's not a terrible course, i'm kind of annoyed by the lack of actual explanation with regard to grammar points. It's like "here's some examples; now try to figure out the usage rules from them." >_
