Today is Pearl Harbor Day. December 7, 1941, a date that will live in infamy.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt address to the nation the next day began: "Yesterday, December 7, 1941-a date which will live in infamy-the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan."
If you ever get a chance to visit the USS Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor, you should. It's a sobering experience.
