On the darker side of my news for the day, it appears my mom's best friend Liz has cancer. When I say best friend I mean they were closer than most siblings are. For years I thought she was my aunt, but it doesn't matter because I love her like family anyways. I guess I have to call my mom some time so get all the details.
And New Orleans is being hit by a tropical storm, but that's not such a big deal. I'm sure it'll be business as usual in the morning, but I'll call the house just to be safe.
