on doing things yourself

There is much to be said for being a homeowner. For instance, the key to the storeroom was an issue. I don't believe the storeroom was ever actually *locked* but the selling agent swore black and blue that it was and he had given us the key.

Indeed there is a key that doesn't seem to fit any locks, but it failed to open the storeroom after I pressed in the little lock button and pulled the door shut.

Nic kept badgering the agent, but I thought, stuff it. I called a locksmith and they have replaced the lock. Or they should have by now as they billed the $80 to my credit card. We can now proceed to stack the storeroom stupidly full and create more open space in the house. Yay. Then Kim will take our boxes off our hands on Saturday, and the lawn mower will go to it's new owner next week some time. There are other things that need to go on ebay but I can't find the cable to plug into Nic's Olympus camera to transfer the pics, and being an Olympus the stupid memory card won't go into any of our laptop slots. Most of these items are going to rely on good pics before we can offload them.

The list:

Garbage blockmount
World map blockmount
Electric battery op whippersnipper
Corner lights for EA falcon
