Accepting one's self: no specific trait is really that unique in any of us, i mean, whatever we are saying is probably very unoriginal, we aren't producing any profoundly different works of art, and we can't really factor our different external appearances as making us special, so how the fuck are we supposed to feel important enough to feel valuable, and sustain our desire to exist? And so what if our artwork is profoundly unique, even the most influential work will only have repercussions within a limited sphere of space and time. Permanence is the word of the night, and what really is permanence, rhetorically speaking. More important than being a genius is securing a high quality of life, especially by partaking in fulfilling activities and engaging in stimulating and sincere friendships.
Besides having limited intellects and present achievments, i believe that most of us are aware that our potential is also quite limited. we will NEVER be original in the sense of being famous or rich, or by whatever criterion you judge success by, so we just have to accept who we are presently. it is our most basic and universal/fundamentally common attribute that will make us happy in the end, particularily, our humanity: our acceptance of individual talents and flaws, and our sympathy and empathy with our fellow human beings. These will be our ultimate savior. you share my feeling, that is what makes you no better or worse than any 'genius' or prodigal 'entrepreneur' or whatever its the ability to share the feeling, not the ability to necessarily express this feeling in a discrete manifest form
this is of the utmost important.
I hope I can discern this is the morning.....
