Description: A video detailing the transitional period from timelord to human that the Doctor underwent in the Tennant years. From the spiral of losing his companions under less than favourable circumstances, to the crippling loneliness of being the last of the kind brought to bear with the death of the Master and his daughter Jenny, he's been through some significant character development, turning him from a regular timelord into something even more powerful; someone who can control the TARDIS with a snap of his finger. He's even had his cruel moments, dealing the the family of Blood, the loss of composure with the man who killed his daughter, and his irrational delusion of his duties as timelord, almost destroying human history when he saved Adelaide who was otherwise destined to die. There was even the metaphysical Doctor who committed genocide against the Daleks, but granted that wasn't entirely the Doctor. Finally, with the End of Time, the Doctor's humanity has finally come to fruition through all that struggling between loss and anger. Finally, the undying timelord has had to come to terms with his own mortality which defines us as who we are. And the series 5 trailer really shows the new side of the Doctor, brandishing guns and punching people. Say what you will about how out of character this is for the supposed pacifist, but it does seem to have a good explanation.
