After reading about Star Jones today, I'm fucking sick to death of people who flaunt and demand attention and act all proud of something they didn't even do. She lost weight, yes, because she butchered her digestive system. Anyone can do that. And I guess she has boobs now since she paid for those. Wow, go you! you should be proud ( Read more... )

And if I want to go out one night and gorge myself completely on fat and sugar derivatives and loll about in bed in an overfull-but-satiated state I can

That's the best part of it all. I've gained back some of the weight I said I'd never gain back, mainly after not playing hockey for a month over the holiday season (a 1-2 punch to my body - bad food and no exercise), but when I want to just pig out on pizza, pop, ice cream, and candy bars - all in one night - I'm able to do it. And since I'm sensible I know that I can't do it everyday or that'd be trouble. But even once every 2 weeks is fun. These people can't do that at all.

I find it incredibly ironic that they get the surgery and they can't eat the stuff that made them fat in the first place. They can't eat much food at once - they have a premature baby's stomach now. They can't eat sweets or fats since their digestive system got torn away, they have problems with it. AND they get the bonus of being malnourished because they can't absorb as much.

So let's figure this out. Stomach surgery = you have to eat less food, less sugars, less fats. OR, you can have sensibilities, which will = less food, less sugars, less fat. And it's freeee. Plus you get the joy of doing it yourself.

You lost 100?? jeez that's a lot. I could say "Well, you never should've gained it" but it doesn't matter now. You realized your errors and lost it all the right way. Here's the thing: will you EVER gain it back? Very unlikely. You know the pain in the ass it was to lose that much, why would you go and gain it all back?

If these people somehow reversed their surgery, 100% of them would be fat again because they would eat till full, eat bad foods, and still probably not exercise. Just because you're thin doesn't mean your heart and lungs are in good shape. I can be a crack addict and be thin.

Anyway, congrats. No need to apologize for being xtreme. Usually when I post something like this people get pissed, not that I can understand why considering I'm not wrong. :)

I can tell you 100%, without a doubt, I have seen the heaviest I will ever be and I will never go back there again. And it's not even knowing what a pain it was to lose it all - it's because I changed my lifestyle, plain and simple. People don't get that part of weight loss at all. We're stuck in this society where a "diet" is something you go on instead of simply what you eat. It's not something you can pick up, lose weight with, and abandon. People who lose a lot of weight on weight loss programs or special diets and then go off them and wonder why they've gained back the weight (and look worse for it because they've usually lost lean muscule with the craptacular 'diet' they've been on and have now replaced it with lovely fat) trip me out. A girl I work with is 'dieting' right now and told me how the other day she had a banana, 2 chicken nuggets, and 3 pieces of broccoli. I told her she's going to be fatter than ever when all is said and done and she was like, 'Whatever, I'll be wearing a bikini this summer.' Oh, yeah, that's a great goal to have.

Blah blah blah, I'm rambly. It just all makes me so upset because society has brainwashed people so badly. I am asked ALL THE TIME if I did Atkins and people actually get offended when I say no and tell them I believe it's bad for you. "Well, what did you do then?" some ask all snottily. When I tell them I didn't go to any meetings or buy anyone's crappy pre-packaged food or deny myself one goddamn thing they look at my like I'm crazy. "Yeah bitches, I ate carbs. And sugars. And fats. BECAUSE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO!" I hate the idea of bad foods/good foods. I hate the fact that people have so little willpower that they scoff at mine.

I mostly hate people that are so obsessed with the word fat, mostly because they don't know the difference between a fat calorie you ingest and excess calories stored as fat in your own body. They've retarded themselves into thinking fat in = fat stored. If it was that simple, all we'd have to do is eat pasta and drink pop and we'd never be overweight.

A friend of mine's wife is all like that.. no fat, no fat anything. Or at least she used to be like that. I had to beat it down verbally out of her that she was wrong and all she was doing was eating way too much sugar and was never going to feel that full or healthy if she didn't eat some fats. And she gave me 96% fat free popcorn once. WTF? I'd rather eat napkins with some salt on them.
