My schedule:
Quick update.
Lil personal workout routine.
Bed.
We finished The Wire like two weeks ago. I was not too pleased with the final episode. Come on. I think my favorite seasons were 1, 2 and 4.
One side of the braided fro hawk:
Glow In the Dark Tour: Amazingly also (like The Wire's final episode)not what I was expecting. I realized I hadn't been to a concert in a huge venue (ie: The United Center) in so long I forgot the kind of crowds that show up (young suburban teeny boppers), and the lack of intimacy involved in the performance. Lupe was STRAIGHT. N.E.R.D was better than Lupe. Rihanna/Rhianna was too long and acting mad diva-ish ("Thank you Chicago for making this a number one hit in America! I LOVE YOU!!!"). Kanye's performance was really cute and theatrical, in the way he went through his songs, and how his props were set up. BUT HE DID NOT REPRESENT or go OUT OF SCRIPT/CHARACTER of his little skit thingys in between songs LIKE I EXPECTED HIM TO. I mean after all this is Chicago! This is the place he is always representing so hard in his music. But, he didn't rep as hard as I hoped. I still really dig him though. He has incredible faith in himself. It's respectable. I almost cried when he sang "Hey Mama". Cameos included Chris Brown (which was confirmation that he is definitely shaggin RiRi, because why else would he be there?) and Common (who probably dipped off to The Roots/Erykah Badu concert that was the same night--almost wish I could have joined him). I did have two very good $8.75 Mai Tai's. I could use one right now. We only got one picture. Cameras werent "allowed" and I was too shook to even attempt to pull it out. C managed to take this:
Now you see why more weren't taken...and you may also wonder why exactly the tour is called Glow In the Dark. Good thought to ponder, because you clearly cannot see Kanye in that picture.
Rock The Bells Tour, please don't disappoint me!
I'm going to Boston a week from tommorow. Yeaaaaaahhh!
