Sabrina called me at like 4:30 AM from a 313 area code. That's not good. I really hope she is still in Georgia, and just got her phone back on. Ay yi yi. We talked for about a minute and a half then I went back to sleep. I'll call her later on today.
Yesterday, my students and I got to talking about MySpace somehow, and I'm sure they all (anyone who could) went home and searched for my page. I admitted to having one, but wouldn't give them my address, and let them know I didn't put my full name when signing up. They thought they were slick (and I guess that I was one of those "really old people,") because they were saying, "Okay you don't have to give us your site address, but what's your e-mail? or your display name?" One little girl kept coming up to me on the sly with a pen and a piece of paper like "Okay, just tell me! I want to put you in my top 8." WTHECK? LOL. I told them all I'd give them some contact info for me once this is all over and done with. For now let's just deal with seeing each other the four times a week that we do.
Over the weekend C and I went to this Caribbean restaurant called Calypso. I saw it on Check, Please, (a show that focuses on the reviews of restaurants throughout Chicagoland) had my mouth WATERING from seeing that. Every review was positive. I felt cheated though. I feel like it was one of those "introductory to ethnic food" places. Like if someone was like 'I want to try Caribbean food for the first time ever!' they would go to Calypso. The seasoning was mediocre. I laughed at the fact they didn't have salt (or any condiments on the tables) because my saffron rice was wack, and the jerk was lacking a bit too. What did taste deelish was my drink, a Funky Monkey (Bacardi, Kahlua, ice cream, and something else) MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM... The decor was nice as well.
Tis all.
