Just found out that Kate Hewlett will be attending the con on Sunday to promote her new play.  It would be cool if David could make it too but just seeing her would be good too.  I wonder how many more guests they are going to add (since this is supposed to be the last con in this area... although

Well he was the first time I saw him at a con, but then I keep thinking about what he said circa S9 in some magazine article. He said something about it being such a treat to have CB working with them, and how it was sort of a drag when AT came back and they had to get back into another routine. I guess it could've been a harmless comment, but I thought it was a bit mean when I read it.

Maybe if I apologize and say I'm a little nervous before starting the question, he'll go a bit easy on me.

I dunno, it seems like a lot of newer fans love Vaniel. Some are huge CB fans and followed her over from Farscape, and love it when she gets lots of screentime. And most of that is when she's with Daniel. Then there are some who just out and out hate Sam and think Vala is so cool and they love her chemistry with Daniel or whatever. I was reading some other forum back when Beachhead first aired, and I couldn't believe all the catty and nasty things they said about Sam, like "how dare she call Vala a backup singer! *She* is the backup singer and Vala is the real member of SG-1!" And a few other choice words. *shakes head*

Heh, thanks. I tend to obsess over certain things too much I guess. And the con isn't until Nov. 3rd.

I read some articles way back in S9 and I never got that impression from MS. I think it's obvious that MS has a bit of a crush on CB because hse is so spunky and charismatic. (I like CB, myself). And I think he was having a lot of fun on the set with her. Cb made her exit as AT came back, though, so it's easy to equate AT=no fun and CB=fun even if that's not true. And I can't see that being true because AT, MS, and CJ are extremely close.

And it's hard but you have to ignore the real hard Vala and Daniel/Vala diehards (the crazy ones anyway). I have reasons for disliking a few but I won't get into that on LJ ;)

Yeah, when you put it that way I guess it makes some sense. From all I've heard he does seem to be very close to her and CJ. I remember reading somewhere that on the last day of filming the three of them went into the briefing room and looked out at the Stargate, just the three of them sharing a quiet moment. I thought that was nice.

Yeah I am trying hard to ignore them. They definitely don't represent all of the D/V and Vala diehards. I know some who are very polite and tolerant of other views.
