Silly brain!
I'm making progress on this reread, I swear. I'm about page 450 in KoD. I've had quick quips that I should have written down to make up its own post. Alas, I did not. I find that although the pace is picking up (finally!) and I'm nearing the end of KOD I am procrastinating by doing other things than read. Mostly because of the hand thing (being vague for any one not there yet who might be new to the series). It was pretty traumatic reading it the first time, and skimming it another 2-3 times. I'm just... not ready to go there yet. I don't remember exactly where it was, so it will creep up and hit me like a train in the next few days.
My hope is to finish the series and Brandon's The Emperor's Soul within the next month. Holy crap, I better get reading, because at this pace it won't happen. And that is a hard and fast deadline for secret reasons that aren't really that secret but still heavily laden with drama that make me dread it anyways.
