HIS FATE

He said goodbye with a crooked smile
for they both knew he wouldn’t see her in a while
But he knew in the back of his mind it was goodbye for good
his fate was dark on the shadowy land which he stood
His crooked smile of worry would soon cause sorrow
because he would no longer live to see tomorrow
Before he leaves he gently touches her face
for he loves everything about her; her beauty, her purity, her grace
He holds back tears as he looks her in the eyes
for she has no idea that it is the night he dies
He calmly said to her “tell me you love me”
she frowned a bit and said “I can’t, for I’m not sure it’s meant to be”
But he still smiled and slowly kissed her on the cheek
then later that night the girl got a call that made her heart weak
The boy was in an accident and was killed
she screamed and with tears her eyes filled
He knew his fate was to come
and he left before she could say where her heart was truly from
For she loved him with all her heart
but now it’s too late and they are forever apart
