details, details, details
Hello people out there in LJ land. It's Monday and I'm already looking forward to the weekend. I'm getting through by drinking plenty of diet coke and wearing my prettiest skirt. My trip is creeping up super fast and I'm finally getting on top of it all. I just have a bit more paperwork to file and two more meetings to attend. I got an e-mail from a girl in Luneburg who is supposed to show me around and get me safely to my flat. It's making it more real and I'm getting super excited and a tiny bit terrified. Some of you know already that I'm not going to India after all. The logistics were just starting to overwhelm me and after several rather awful nightmares involving missing flights and running out of money and having to dig in dumpsters for food, I decided to make that a later trip. My schedule so far is;
June 7, 2006 - Leave from Phoenix to Kalispell, Montana and stay with my family for two weeks. I'm praying that my sister has her baby while I'm there! In the meantime I will have fun playing with the fabulous Miss Emily and my new nephew Kaden who I can't wait to meet. I'm also hoping to get in some quality time with my dad, grandma and sisters.....if they can detach me from Emily that is....
June 25, 2006 - I leave Kalispell via a few cities to get to Berlin where I will join the group for a weekend tour of Berlin. I'm really excited to see the museums naturally, they have huge Asian and Egyptian exhibits so I've been told.
June 28, 2006 - I think this is the date we travel to Luneburg to begin our program. It will last until July 7 and then we are free to travel around or go home. I think that I will go home right away instead and spend my weekends doing any extra travel. I would like to get to Amsterdam for a weekend if I can because I'll be pretty close and I just can't pass up that opportunity.
Schools starts pretty soon after that and I have to find an apartment and move in by then. I'll also need a better job and some money in my pocket.
