ok this is looooooong overdue. All the pics in this update are from stuff i did last week. Ok, well first, like not this past weekend but the weekend before then, so just over a week ago, ali came back from her week trip to nanaimo and asked if i wanted to do something on the weekend. So, I called her and she was down at the breakwater with erin so i met them downtown. We did the usual walking around and looking in stores and such. Then we traversed to that pizza place we always go to and some hideous pics took place.

Omg! Vans Warped Tour! some truly awesome stories for that trip... ok, for starters, I went to Vancouver for a day with Lauren and Theresa to see a bunch of bands. I wasn't really crazy about alot of the bands, but i liked some of them so i was good, and there was TONS of stuff to do, so it was all good. When we first arrived at like 10:30 (half an hour before the gates opened) we waited around a bit, then we cut in front of like literally hundreds of ppl who were in line and just walked through the gates (they were smart). so the first thing we realized when we walked in was all the free stuff! like omg we had a crapload of stuff. There was like tents for every band and like the warped tour tents which gave out free posters, cd's and of course, my favourite, the cool stickers. (one of them says the goons of doom). so we checked the board to see when the bands were playing cuz they weren't cool enough to make a schedule ahead of time. First of all i would like to explain the Lauren is in love with Billy Talent (who was playing), and that was like the main reason she came... i would also like to mention that we were suppose to leave at 6 that night to catch the ferry home, but those plans changed when we found out that Billy wasn't playing till 7. They were nice enough to put the bands we wanted to see at the end.

this is us being punk rock. we were sitting on a hill behind the tents in the afternoon.. i was so sorry had i worn black pants, really bad mistake cuz it was REALLY hot. apparantly it was all crappy in victoria that day.. good ol' victoria.

omg that reminds me of a story. we were on the ferry on the way there and i said something about one of "his" songs, and i swear lauren almost had a stroke cuz i thought billy talent was a person. lol
i accidently took a picture of the crowd (u'll be seeing a lot of those), but notice the mosh pit, it was a none stop mosh pit all day.
if u try really hard u can see the offspring peeps. and the security guards. the crowdsurfers would be pushed to the front and then the security guards had to pull them out.
... again, the offspring. (in case u haven't guessed). Oh right! that reminds me! i got their autographs! it was quite exciting, cuz they were one of the bands i actually liked there.

omg i was disgusted when this formed. The crowd made this circle in the middle so they could push each other around. literally. two ppl would go in and push each other.
i don't know who this is.. oh no wait, i take that back. its dropkick murphy. A bunch of retarded brought weird irish flags. in this pic u can actually see all the security guards (im saying that for future story telling by the way)

ok, notice how close we are :| lauren just HAD to be at the front to get good pics of them. so naturally we were in the middle of the broken bone zone. (so many ppl got hurt) we were close, which was good but as soon as they started EVERYONE was pushing sooo hard. after the first song i tried to communicate to theresa to tell her i was moving further out. she nodded but didn't follow me, and i was already being pushed back and i really wanted to get out so i left. apparantly, she told me later that she was trying to leave but she had a bag of stuff taht got stuck between two ppl and she couldn't get out. u would think ppl would want to let me out of the crowd but noooooo. they actually blocked my way. when i was like "move!" they pushed me back towards the stage. it was difficult. it took me a while to get out and it seemed like the crowd was endless. my ear hurt after and i thought it was just cuz they pulled on the hoop earring i was wearing but i realized later that my other earing got ripped out.

i got out of the mosh pit area to here.
welll, during the concert we knew we had to leave half way through it cuz we had to meet lauren's cousin cuz she was driving us to the ferry, and we couldn't be late cuz there was only one ferry left to catch. So, we were supposed to leave at 7:30, and we decided that if we got lost we would meet at this green tent that was like in the middle of everything. so naturally, the ONE tent they take down was our meeting spot. here's the story with each person (cuz im bored mostly)
Me: I had left the mosh pit slash crazy area earlier, so it was easy for me to get out the crowd, and i waited at a nearby tent for like 10 minutes cuz i didn't knwo where else to go. I tried calling lauren on her cell like 17 times, but she turns it off when she's not using it. so she finally called me, and we were like yelling at each other at the top of our lungs and we still couldn't hear each other. Then i heard her say "billy talent tent" so i went to it and she was there and we were already like 15 minutes late. and when we saw each other we were both like "where's theresa?!" so good thing, cuz she was the one without a cell. so we ran around everywehre looking for her, and me and lauren lost each other again
Lauren: ok, so lauren couldn't get out of the crowd cuz i was like impossible cuz she was almost at the front. and she knew she had to get out so she was like frantically yelling at the security guards "get me out of here!!!". so lucky for her cuz she had to crowd surf for like 3 seconds so they could pull her out. and thats when we met up.
Theresa: she lost lauren cuz she got pushed back in the crowd. apparantly like three people fell on the ground behind her, and everyone started caving in cuz they were pushing each other so hard, so that's when she decided she had to get out of there. She shoved and pushed her way out and eventually found me, but that's when i had lost lauren, but when we finally met up we made a run for the road. We were already half an hour late for meeting lauren's cousin.
Well, it was a happy ending cuz we made it to the ferry in time. SO DON'T PEE UR PANTS!
Oh right! i met billy talent! The first aid tent was near the backstage area where like ALL the bands were, and lauren really wanted to meet billy talent so me and her said we needed a band-aid and the guy was surprisingly a pushover. so we ran around the tent and saw aaron, the bass player, and john the drummer i think, from billy talent
