How to Reduce Stress
Not only will stretching reduce stress, but it is also an essential component of
a successful exercise routine. Stretching will assist in increasing physical
performance, decreasing risk of injury, increasing coordination and balance,
reducing stress and enhancing enjoyment.
To get the most benefit from a stretching routine:
~ Always warm-up before stretching
~ Stretching should be slow and controlled without any bouncing.
~ Hold each stretch at a point of mild tension for 10 to 30 seconds. Repeat
this 3 to 5 times.
~ Do not excessively extend, flex, twist or lock any joints.
This is why Yoga is so popular!
Show Off Your Muscles!
Developing a taut, muscular waistline isn't all about exercise, but it is
definitely part of the equation. To lose fat and get the lean and defined look
you've always wanted, concentrate on three separate factors: your diet,
cardiovascular exercise and exercise that isolates the midsection. The first
two factors work together to help strip away fat and keep it off, while the
third factor will help strengthen and show off the abdominal
muscles.
Positive Thinking
Did you meet your goal this week? If yes, that's great! If no, that's fine. Focus on what you did do differently and on what improvements you made. Look at the things that didn't change and figure out why. Ask yourself how you can improve upon them and add them to your goals for the following week.
In other news, ArmyMan's Email is back!! YAYAY! Though I did also just send him a 7 paged reply letter... heheh. Mom said it was a 60 cent postage.
Yesterday was pretty damn exhausting! I forgot how missing one day of excercise can REALLY set you back! So everything seemed harder. I should be back to my old routine in a few days though. And I think we have officialy added the stair master to our set too. Our goal? 5 minutes on that bastard machine (we lasted about 3 an a half minutes). I think Im less self councious when I have somethere who will also be wagging their butts on that machine, even if it is the Foxy Lady.
Speaking of her, we went shopping afterwards at the 99 cent store! They have really cheap wedding stuff there... And the drinking glasses were pretty cute! Then she was sweet and splurged a whole two dollars on me for my favorite bath stuffs and boy... do I sure smell pretty today! XD
Alright, I gotta finish up these applications! Hopefully later on I may get an invitation to go out with the Dragon Lady and the Fat Cougar. Happy Days are here again!
