pecan chocolate chip cookies

Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt (use 3/4 tsp if using salted butter)
1 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tbs vanilla
2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (16 oz)
1 1/2 cup pecans
Preheat oven to 375. Toast pecans 7 minutes. Combine butter and sugars, add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Add chips and pecans, which have been chopped. Bake in the top of the oven for 12 minutes on waxed paper or a silpat. Cool on pans 10 minutes, remove to racks.
