You may think it to be a bit cliche, but my new years resolution is to lose some pounds. Right now I'm 5'6" and weigh between 158 and 160 with about..... 0 muscle tone. I would like to be 135. That race sounds amazing, I so wish I had found that earlier.
I'm work at a gym and it is true, a lot of people have made it their resolution to lose weight lol but the key to actually succeeding is that it is a life change, not a added activity of walking/running sometimes. That might make it sound difficult but I believe fitness and nutrition is interesting when you get into it and a healthier lifestyle will make you feel so much more confident. Good luck on your journey :)

thanks! I'm trying to eat healthier too. I'm feeling really motivated for once and I have other people supporting me with friendly competition/"shit talk" lol so I know I can do it.
My best motivator is proving other people wrong ;)

It's free and you can track your kcals in and out and just keep an eye on everything you're doing.

Good luck with the 5k, I used the same programme and I'll be running my second half marathon in april, so it defo works!!
