First Day in the Hostel
I got a room looking out over Lower Hutt, it's a really nice view. The bed is really uncomfortable. It's too hard.
It's right next to the lift too, that's exciting. It's kind of like having really strong winds appear out of nowhere and then disappear. to be followed by footsteps and people talking. Oh well. It's directly across from the toilet which is good. Shannon tried to offer me some advice about the toilet paper, but I have my own theories. Just rip it off the roll. :-D Then you have a big bundle you can use to your hearts content.

This morning I was sitting on the toilet gazing out the window and admiring the scenery, and I saw some pidgeons on the roof below me, so i gave a couple of chirrups. two flew off,and the rest followed quickly!!!
I must have said something REALLY offensive.
the shower was also a new experience. (I have one every day if you're wondering.) It blasts like a fire hose, and doesn't get very hot. But it's ok. It's the mat outside it that's disgusting. It's rubber and stands on a puddle of yellow water that smells REALLY bad. Yeah. I'm not kidding.
I dropped my toothbrush on the shower floor. Twice. Let's not go there... (No, not in the yellow puddle bit. you're not listening. i dropped it on the shower floor.)
I nearly panicked just before. I was in my room and getting ready to come downstairs and I couldn't find my key. I KNEW i'd put it my pocket. PANIC. lol. it was on the desk under the curtain. phew.
I dropped my first thing out the window earlier too. the safety catch on my craft knife fell off my knife and bounced out... nice.
This afternoon I'm going to find paknsave and get food, coins and laundry detergent. and shampoo. and dish wash detergent. Maybe try and find a basket for my laundry as well. Went to sleep about 12, woke up half past six. yeah,, STUFF that.
