Job Interview
Praying, thinking good thoughts, meditating, and/or sending white light is requested from all of my friends (or enemies if you’re reading my blog).
This morning I discovered an email from Butler Hill asking to interview me tomorrow evening via phone. *squeals and claps her hands* I really want this job. The work is interesting to me, I have tons of the skills they’re looking for, the times are flexible with just the right number of hours, and the pay is stellar.
I was waiting until the specified ‘end of the month,’ which by the prepared Girl Scout’s count began today on the 15th, to send another email as requested to the HR contact at Butler Hill. I’d submitted my resume and cover letter more than a week before the closing date posted; but they’d already filled the open positions, however, their original reply email (which I read mostly as gentle rejection) said, there was some expected attrition, and would I please check back with them at the end of the month. When I opened my school email account to send off the requested ‘check back’ email, their email in my inbox was marked urgent, and not only do they want to interview me tomorrow evening but also this is a slightly different position which has even more flexibility in the hours!
