Why Can't a Woman Be More Like a Man?

Tests back from two classes today. One was pretty dang good. The other, which I expected to be the deepest pit of black shame, was only a somewhat deepish pit of charcoal-gray shame.
Opened my first email from a student today. Which was really official feeling and exciting. Until I realized that the student had emailed me on Saturday. The slightly redeeming thing was that she'd been out sick on Monday, so my answering her immediately wouldn't have produced an immediately different effect. But still.
My little sister arrives in Zootown on Friday night!! I'm so glad to get to see her. Of course, this would be the weekend in which I am required to peer-edit papers for my American Lit class. This editing wouldn't bother me if it were an upper division class, but the fact that I'm a super senior finishing up a sophomore level class means that the 'peer' part is a loose term.And Mom will be coming up to visit Sister and me for the weekend. Sister will stay for the week.
