Lesson-from-recent-experience No. 3: your headmaster (or principal) will only come in to observe you teaching when you are having a bad day. Usually a really bad day. Acceptance of this fact will enable you not to be flustered at his/her appearance in the back of your classroom. Don't be flustered. It only worsens your other faux pauxs, flubs, and missteps.
