Pub Trivia and Word Count
More world design tonight ... 1,045 new words = 2,332 total out of 32,000 = 7% done! (and meters still despise me).
Did Pub Trivia with friends at Sean Kelly's. Some of it I was really good at ... but so much of it was geared toward pop-culture that I was just not up on. When I mentioned to the friend who rode with me that I expected more science questions she pointed out that Pub Trivia was geared toward a pub crowd (duh, I know). We had tons of fun making up goofy answers to the questions we were stumped on ... David Bowie showed up all over our answer sheets. We didn't come in last. And there was really rich pasta with a bacon-cream-sauce.
And earlier in the day I went to the funeral of the co-worker I mentioned a few days ago. Anglican funerals are quite beautiful in their own way; and the string symphony my co-worker had been a big supporter of came and played, which was lovely. He had a good long run, and went out with dignity and grace. I'll miss him, but I'm not overly sad.
