I still have to do my thesis, but that is the only course I have to take to get my degree, and it's not even a real class. Yay, at least I'm not the only one with Power Rangers on my list! I'm trying to get through the first series now, but eventually I want to try and watch all of them, if only just having them on in the background while I work on stuff. The original series is nice and nostalgic, if overly cheesy sometimes XD I used to have the biggest crush on both Jason and Tommy, and they are still pleasing on the eyes... yes...

And I'm excited for Scotty in NextGen! I didn't know that! I know that Spock shows up sometime in season four, so sayeth Memory Alpha. So that will be happy making as well. It's a lot to watch though, so I hope I don't get too distracted for too long. That's what happened last time.

And that's crazy that they made both those women look so old! I don't watch Grey's but I guess it makes sense, being in a hospital and all, that they would make people look worse. It takes a brave actress to let someone do that to them. Seriously!!

The Avengers is really, really good. But I laughed out loud at the Fox jokes. I hadn't heard them, but it's so true! Oh, Firefly, how you hurt me so.

Yeah I was highly amused myself when that joke was circulating. Problem is a guy like Joss doesn't work in today's TV standard. He likes the slow build up where there might be a arc that will run to peak at say season 5 (he actually likes character development which is like frowned upon these days). I mean christ he told us about Dawn in the finale of Season 3 of Buffy and she didn't even appear for two more seasons. But in the way TV works now if it requires any thought at all they cancel the show (Unless it's HBO they keep anything lol). Which drives me absolutely insane. I get into a show that finally forces you to think and it's canceled after 3 episodes :( Thankfully they didn't cancel Touch that show makes me all emotional (though it could be the hormones :P) And i'm doubly worried whenever I get into a show on Fox since yeah...they are Fox...and NBC seems to be getting about the same way where they will run the season opener and before the second episode even airs they have it canceled. But if the stereotypical dumb blond can watch the show then yeah it's a shoe in for 9 seasons.

I guess it's good, then, that I don't watch much mainstream tv shows anymore (mainstream being on the major non-cable networks). Or at least new stuff. I have a hard time watching shows episode by episode, so I generally watch them all at once. The odd exception is Syfy series (Being Human, Haven, Warehouse 13, Eureka, Alphas, and so on). And HIMYM. But I love character development, so that is kind of sad that a lot of those types of series go bad. Stoopid tv peoples!

I did watch some of Once Upon a Time, though, and really liked that series, but how could I not? I need to finish the series. I also wanted to watch Terra Nova (downloaded the first series), but don't know if I should because it got canceled. Which was surprising and disappointing.

OH i'm with you there I love Once Upon a Time, but like you said how could you not, especially being how much I love The 10th Kingdom it was sort of like the renewal for me for that knowing we will never get the sequal. I started watching Terra Nova after a couple episodes I just sort of stopped (no real reason behind it or anything).

I cannot watch the US version of Being Human (even though I ♥ Sam Witwer (ever since he played Starkiller in The Force Unleashed) I just can't do it. I am SOO used to the UK cast I can't just watch wash rinse repeats of a show I love lol.

But I know what you mean so many shows just sort of go -here are the characters, you will like them, but you won't know why....we wont' tell you ANYTHING about them...so watch them...- It's like I need some substance please.

I've watched the BBC Being Human, and I loved that, too. I just view the two series as being separate, like this one is a US spin off instead of a remake, you know? Both are good, so I enjoy both of them. I like that the Syfy series is doing their own thing, or at least this last season they did, for the most part. What's funny is that in the British version I love the Vampire (Mitchell) with the Ghost (Annie), but in the American Version I love the Werewolf (Josh) with the Ghost (Sally) because they are just so cute together ;_; Especially after they kind of ship teased me so hard last season. I need some icons of them, yes...

Ahh then it's a case where I didn't give it enough time to let the series work for me. I watched the first two episodes and wanted to cry because they were practically word for word replicas. So I was like why watch something when I already know what's going to happen. And most of the people I know who watch it have never even HEARD of the UK version so it's new to them, so I never realized they actually ended up doing their own story as time moved on. I may need to shake off those few episodes and give the series another go then. Though I am such a Mitchell/Annie girl it may be odd for me to switch teams lol. But you never know ;)

Because believe me I was excited when it was announced Syfy was doing it. Granted I was a little miffed they didn't just air the actual version of the show (like they did with Merlin. And on top of that called it an 'original' series.) but I was willing to work with it when I saw Witwer was Aiden or whatever the vamps name is in the US (which I think is funny cause that's the actor who plays Mitchell's real name :P) was all excited had it on my DVR watched it and I was like :_: I know what they are gonna say next! I think they even said Scottland Yard at one point too keeping the UK version of the jokes. So I was like O.o, but now that I know, I may give it another chance :) So thanks for letting me know :)

The first season has a lot of the same plot lines as the British series, but they expand and change things throughout. They handle the story with the vampire child completely differently. The second season is a lot of new stuff as well, which was nice to see them doing their own thing. They do keep some of the same situations as the British series, but they do a lot of their own thing as well. I would think a vast majority of season two is new.

And I am a huuuuuuge Mitchell/Annie fan, so I was expecting to be all Aiden/Sally in the American series, but Josh/Sally really took me by surprise. He still has the plot line with his girl wolf thing (who I couldn't stand, then liked, then couldn't stand again), so I don't really think Josh/Sally will ever ACTUALLY happen. They just have great chemistry, and are really cute. Though, after this last season, they're getting my hopes up that they're going to at least ship tease some more. But I don't know, there are things that they do that make me think they might go in that direction (specifically the things they change. Like the end of season one and the spoilers for the start of season three.)

But I had to give it a few episodes, too, to get into it. But I was glad I stuck through season one, because season two was much better. It's usually like that for a lot of Syfy shows for me. This one, Warehouse 13, and Eureka. I liked Haven right away because of awesome. And I'm really hoping this is the case for Alphas, because I couldn't really get into the first season. AND I BLAME THAT ON NINA. Stoopid Nina...

I love Haven, though I have to rewatch season 2, I think it was distracted while it was on and don't remember much of what happened :P And never watched Alphas though I wanted to. I watched Eureka incessantly for the first few seasons and then I got the job were I had to be up before the world was awake and couldn't stay up to watch it, and would forget to DVR it so I fell behind. I really need to catch up.

Actually I have a lot of shows I need to catch up on lol. I've gotten bad. I will watch the first few episodes of something love it and then I'll get pulled out somewhere the next episode so I miss it and then I never go back to it :( Until I find out it's canceled and i'm like 'Well I guess there is no point in catching up now...' That happened with Alcatraz for me. I mean heck i'm five episodes behind of Game of Thrones (which started because we were late getting back from dinner at my parents house :_:) which for me is shame full. And I want to catch up by Sunday because it's the Battle of Blackwater and i'm really wondering how they put that down into a one hour episode. But I have faith since GRRM wrote that episode so I see it as, 'if something is left out he wrote the book so I guess I can't bitch' lol

The only series I've managed to not miss an episode of is Touch, but it helps that i'm a SAHM now so I don't have to worry about having to be up early in the morning to head to work. And thank god for Netflix being that Eden will be up every two hours to eat for the first little while it'll give me something to do in the wee hours of the morning lol.

I can't believe I have to wait until the fall for Haven to start. It's a summer show! I was looking forward to it THIS SUMMER. ;______; And Alphas was pretty good, though it still wasn't like OMGAWESOMEYOUMUSTWATCHTHIS. I can't recommend it, yet, but the writers from Eureka have gone over to Alphas now that Eureka has been canceled, so I hope they make it take that next step into Awesome, because it's pretty good now. And it's sad that Eureka's been canceled, but this final season is kicking ass. As much as I LURV Zane/Jo, what got me into the series was Jack/Jo and they're finally messing around with that. So yaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Carter/Alison was always boring for me, but I love Alison because I keep thinking she's Elisa from Gargoyles...

I want to watch the Game of Thrones (I started watching it last year), but I want to finish the books for the seasons first and I keep getting distracted. I restarted the first book a few weeks ago and need to finish it, then I'll watch the first season. I liked what I saw/read so far, so I know it'll be epic. :3

I haven't even heard of "Touch", I'll have to look it up. And yay for Netflix! I had to cancel the discs for the summer because of budget, but I kept the streaming because I LOVES THE STREAMING. And it'll definitely come in handy for you when baby happens. When does baby happen?

I'm up to the fourth book in Thrones and I had to take a break. I pounded out the first three books in a month and my head was ready to explode lol. In a lot of ways I wish I didn't read so far ahead and did what a lot of people did and read the book AFTER watching the season so they could be surprised by what was to come. Because now that I know what is going to happen for the next few seasons it does feel like a lot of the surprise factor is gone. Though they are changing a few things here and there (more for this season then the last. I swear season 1 is like right off the pages) some of the changes are okay and some make me go "wtf are they thinking..." Though I just finally watched the episode that had Roy Dotrice! So cool to have that link since like you know he narrates the audio books (and does SUCH a good job). Now if only they could get Ron Perlman to play Mance Rider and my world would be set, since GRRM wrote Beauty and the Beast it would be like a giant reunion lol.

Touch is on Fox (and surprisingly made it past their mass cuts for next season) with Kiefer Sutherland. He plays the father of a boy that they label as autistic but that's not really a true label. But he has never said a word, but the father has found a way to communicate with him through numbers. But it's really hard to describe the series because it's one of those ones that sits and makes you sit there with your jaw on the floor by the stories. Reading books and watching adaptations of books is really tricky for me. Sometimes it's better if I watch the adaptation first because it helps me get through the book. Sometimes it's better if a read the book first because a certain actor can ruin the book for me (THANKS A LOT, CINDER PATH). But seeing as both the books and tv series are awesome for Game of Thrones, neither of those can really be the case. I still choose to read the books first because I'd rather be current with them. It's one of the few book series I can read without picking apart the writing horribly. Being a Creative Writing major (getting my Masters in it and all that), all we do is analyze and critique writing, as well as, you know, write ourselves. I also help a few friends with their stories, editing their writing and helping them brainstorm. This has made me become very, VERY critical of writing and has, unfortunately, severely impeded my ability to enjoy books. I couldn't get past chapter four of a supremely popular book because the writing style bothered me fundamentally. So, for that, I'll probably just see the movie. But, seeing as the Game of Thrones is actually well written, I have to take this opportunity to read them.

And I watched the trailer for Touch; it looks REALLY GOOD. I'll have to check it out! And good luck with baby having! :D
