The last camp of the summer

Last Sunday night, I couldn't sleep. It was hot as anythig, and I really didn't feel like running the window air conditioner in my room, so I just kinda lay there in that weird buffer between sleep and awake, and was in a bad mood. My clothes were mostly packed, and I had all the things I needed from the church to bring to camp with me, but I just couldn't sleep! Somewhere around midnight, I opened the bedroom door because I figured maybe I'd get a better breeze, but that didn't help all that much. I suppose it was around 1:00 that I noticed a lump next to me, a rather sizeable one. It was Shelbie, who felt like sleeping in the bed, I suppose, so took advantage of my loopy condition during one of the moments I was dozing. Haha! I love Shelbie!

Anyway, i got up at like 5:30, and finished the last of the packing, and got ready to catch a flight out for a camp that I sing and preach at in Asheboro, NC. If you read my journal from last year, you know that we didn't really get off to a great start at camp, but this year, everyone was ready to go out of the gate. They sang loud, and were attentive to the messages that were preached, and I believe all he preachers were really looking for God to do a work. There wasn't really a dud message, well, except the one I attempted to preach on Monday night. I was half asleep, and trying to have God on me, bt I'm not sure it quite worked. I don't even remember what I said during the message. I could've cussed them all out in Jesus' name, and I don't remember! haha! People were nice to me about it though, and I figured I had wo more times to redeem myself. I know of at least one person that got saved, and there could've been more, but the fellowship was great, and I made some new friends that I believe I'll be friends with for the rest of my life. Now, I'm in Houston, getting ready for another meeting, and very excited about it. Talk to ya'll soon!
