Hey ya'll!
So, after a grooling week with absolutely no web access whatsoever, yet still taxing my Macbook to its bitter end, I am here with a short update for you, my dear blog readers! I know you feel privileged about this, so without any further adue, we'll get into it!

Monday morning, I woke up at around 6:30, and was greeted by miss Shelbie, who had sprawled herself out in front of my door, and was wagging her tail when I stumbled out of the room. After nearly tripping over her, I took a shower, dressed, and woke David up. He came with me on this trip, and Samson came and picked us up to take us to the airport.
We landed in Pittsborgh at 12:35, but didn't get to where we were going in Flatwoods, WV till 5:00, because we stopped to eat, and besides, it's a forever kind of drive to get there anyway!
Let me just quickly recap the week at camp, just so you have it all in your minds. The best news of all was that we had 6 kids saved, all from the church here in Flatwoods! The pastor and I were extremely excited, as was Charlie Tenney, the guest preacher for the week! My voice held out for the whole camp, as did the weather, to a great extent. I think I found the trick to preserving my voice! I now crank the floor wedge in front of me so I sing a bit softer, and don't wear it out nearly as fast. It's a beautiful thing!
Also, I made many new friends, and absolutely fell in love with the kids I was working with. One young lady, Desiree, who is 14 and comes from a rough family background, joined my singing class which the pastor asked me to hold, and wouldn't sing by herself at first. Once I convinced her that it would be ok, and got her to open her mouth, she sang very well! By the end of the week, I had her singing in church by herself, and hopefully got her to be a bit more secure in singing for the Lord. If you come across this, Desie, did I ever tell you about the little engine that could? Haha

Also, Amanda, who was a counselor for the week, and I worked for two days straight putting together a 15-minute video of camp. For those of you considering a Mac, iMovie, iPhoto, and iDVD do exactly what they claim to do, and do it well! If I can find a place to put it, I'll get it up on the web, and put a link to it from this journal, just for all of you! I really wasn't sure I'd enjoy this week of camp, but I loved it, and was so disappointed to see it end. Needless to say, I'm coming back to do the music next year again!
David enjoyed it as well, and is talking about was he can encourage the people in our youth group as well! We have one more week here, then I get to go home sweet home for a week, and then to work with the great CT Townsend on a recording, which I am excited to do. It'll be my first time in the studio in a year! Hope I remember how to do everything!
I probably won't have access to the net for the rest of the week, so I'll update you all when I get home on Saturday, or through Facebook, which I can access through my cell phone.
