On Vox: 11 days and counting...

The countdown is officially on for our upcoming move. At this point in my life, packing has become almost robotic. I realized that I have moved to 21 new locations in my life (28yrs). I guess one more move isn't going to hurt things.

Josh and I spent a long weekend in Galveston with friends and had a great time. Neither of us had ever been there before, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The beach wasn't beautiful exactly, but the water was nice, the pool was cold and the drinks were cheap. We spent a lot of afternoons playing Phase 10 (I won in the end..it took us 3 days to finish with 8 people playing), and in the evenings we explored Kemah (a neighboring city with rides and fireworks) and downtown Galveston. I learned more about the horrible hurricane of 1900 that destroyed most of town. It's incredible to think about how many people died - it's still the worst natural disaster in US history.

Here are some pictures and the rest can be found on flickr.
