WOW!

Father Rooney gave an awesome homily this morning. My spirits are definitely uplifted. I remember that when I gave my testimony to people about Steubenville that I always focused on the fact that I've learned to give my burdens over to Jesus. I realized this morning that I haven't been. No wonder why I've felt so boggled down. As soon as a problem came along I started acting like I had to deal with it all on my own. There's no way I can handle it without His help. He won't give us anything that we can't handle. We just have to realize that God already know the ultimate plan and will always take care of what needs to be taken care of. I've gotta learn to remember this!!!! Father also talked about how we can't live as practical atheists. When we wear our love for Jesus on our sleeve and don't really live it all the way it can do no good. What use is it to "honk if you love Jesus" if you aren't gonna truly follow him? We can't live our lives separately. We can't have a church person and then a secular person. We have to be one. Sure we're all gonna make mistakes but you have to realize those mistakes and redeem yourself. Your spirituality is at stake if you aren't willing to live completely for Jesus. In the readings it talked about how the gate to Heaven is small. We can't carry our burdens or our selfishness through or we won't even fit and we'll have to spend eternity in Hell, and eternity is a long time.

Amy, I was thinking about you this morning when Father was talking about having two sides. I hope you went to mass this weekend. Maybe it helped u a bit to uplift your spirits and give u strength to do what u know you need to do.

I hope that anyone who reads this and happens to be struggling with the weight of their burdens or is facing the pressures of worldly things will receive hope and a precious reminder from my words.

It's funny, now that I feel a bit better I feel I can actually handle trying to catch up on my school work! That's good cuz I really really really need to!!!

God bless everyone!!!
