My normally very drama-free family has recently decided to shake things up a bit and stuff's been a bit intense between some people. I wrote a big long vent email to my best mate who used to live across the road from me up in the mountains and, in the middle of her awesome reply, was this:

HI. My name's Nicole (usually called 'Bee' online but I'd just like you to know my real name (:) and I'm a /huge/ fan of your writing. I still remember waiting impatiently for updates on Private Lives, Public Property back in 2007. Your stories have made me screech crazily (only like a mad woman could), tear/hug my pillow sadly, laugh loudly, and enjoy myself immensely. They're /amazing/ and you're /beyond/ amazing, and I hope you even realize just how much.
I'm sure I've read and re-read your multi-chaps already, so when you had finished most of them and stopped updating for a while, there was a time where I actually just stopped reading fics. Imagine my utmost pleasure when here you come posting a new one whose first chapter is just as well written and squeal-inducing as your previous stories.
I don't think I was even able to scrape the surface of how much I admire you and your stories with this little message, but anyway~ I hope all is well with you in Australia. I'll be waiting with bated breath for the next chapter. Keep up the great work!
Just one of your many adoring fans,
Bee

Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoy my stories and that you get so into them, that's absolutely brilliant to hear. I can't really think of anything to say to show how genuinely touched I am by your message, so you'll just have to trust me that I am!
I'm going to edit the second chapter of Saving from Monkeys like a fiend now so that I can get it up quickly for you. I'd feel awful if I left you waiting now!
Cheers!
