I hate cops...
So I went to visit my grandma yesterday for Mother's Day. She was visiting an uncle that recently moved to a city about an hour away from here and so since I hadn't seen her since November, I figured, 'why not?'
So I visited, and it got late, and so she didn't want me to drive back that evening. I stayed and slept poorly, then I had to get back to get to work on time. Well... I got lost in the friggin suburbs that this house is located at and I got a ticket for not stopping all the way at a stop sign. There was NO one FRIGGING THERE but that COP! I mean REALLY, no one is around at 1-2pm in suburbia! They're all at work!
Anyway, to make matters worse, I didn't have my driver's license (DL). Or should I say, I didn't have my U.S. DL. I had my Mexican one and they gave me a hard time about it. So... then I was late for work (by about 5 minutes) so that means it goes on my file. I now have to pay $260 for the damn ticket and it's due on the same day as my rent ($350). I don't know where I'm going to pull the money from... I mean, I'm a student, I only work part time, and then I have THIS to deal with?
I am having a huge bad luck streak.
I guess the only up side to all of this is that since I didn't have my TX DL, the ticket isn't going to be filed under it so my insurance rates shouldn't go up.
I can only hope....
