Meeting Rachel and Lisa at the park (RP for dateless_doc)
Joe was like a kid, he got excited for routines. Monday was football day. Wednesday was lasagna night and Friday was walk in park with Bob night. He was too busy to take Bob for substantial walks often so he felt it was important to make this time once a week.
He didn't think Rachel and Lisa would want to walk the 3 mile permitter of the lake so he took Bob to do that before they arrived. He would have picked up Lisa but he didn't have a car seat. This just worked out better. After the long walk around the lake they did the second part of their routine; they shared a box of Cracker Jacks and a bottle of water from the snack bar.
He tied Bob to a bench, bought their snack, and then popped open Bob's portable pop-up water bowl and filled it up. Joe was sitting on the bench, petting Bob's head when he saw Lisa arrive with the cutest toddler in tow. He waved to get their attention and Bob started barking because his master his waving. The excitement must have been contagious.
"Hey," Joe grinned waving them over.
