Kite Festival, Memorial Day weekend in Wildwood
Every memorial Day weekend there is a kite festival held in Wildwood. Featuring hundreds of kites, kite acrobatics and demonstration, thousands of spectators marvel at the beauty and grace of these kites. Memorial day also means roller coasters, sand castles, metal detecting, curley fries, kohr's ice cream, fried food and boardwalk games out the ying-yang. We came home with about a dozen or more Webkinz. My son is a whiz at the crane game. he spent $10 to get 12 drops and picked up 4 webkinz. This is no easy task. Later he played a "play till you win" claw. Inside were Pittsburg Steelers t shirts. Normally once you win one item, you're done. he snagged THREE.
Grand Champion Kite for 2008
Take a potato. Corkscrew it, deep fry it and add flavoring and voila: a chip-stix. This is the newest treat at the shore and it's not bad. There are about a dozen flavors. I had the chili flavor and it was good. My son has the pizza and it was overly salty.
