try having 2 kids and watch your lower belly jiggle afterwards! bleh. lil_pea_nut January 31 2006, 05:15:22 UTC
i know how you both feel. i went from gaining an amazingly gross 40 lbs. my freshman year of college. (so much for the "freshman 15" eh?), to losing 60 lbs. in 2001/2002, to gaining 60 while pregnant w/Reid, to losing only 25 of that in between pregnancies, to gaining another 50 lbs. while pregnant w/Gage, to (so far) losing 25 lbs, to now.

so trust me, if anyone knows about weight rollercoasters, i'd be your girl.

and the hardest thing is to know that you CAN lose the weight, b/c you HAVE lost the weight before. so you know you have no excuse. that's how i feel and i know what i have to do to get it off, well mostly anyway. not completely sure on how to tighten up the "baby tummy" part of my belly, but i'll figure out something. so, yeah i know. and it's depressing to look at old pictures and know how i used to feel about myself at that point.

but really that's unhealthy to focus on, looking forward to what we can do for our bodies and ourselves and actually executing a plan is what really matters. i believe in us, girls!

and the whole "women are all beautiful; in all shapes and sizes... thing" is only true if you feel beautiful yourself. some people may think that thick women are beautiful (i think many of them are) but if you don't feel beautiful yourself, you're not gonna care or listen to positive things that people say about you. ya know? it's all about self esteem and feeling strong.
