I don't consider myself to be a believer of God, but i do believe that there are a lot of wonderful teachings in the bible. I also think that sometimes organized religion can muddle these teachings and make them something other then what they were meant to be.
This summer, i am going to try and be a counselor at a church camp that i went to as a kid, and that i have been a counselor for a couple of times previously.
I dont tell the kids that i dont believe in God, but would it be wrong for me to do this? Will these kids see something in me when others are talking about God? What if they ask me questions that i can answer about religion, but maybe shouldnt answer because they dont tie in with the belief structure?
I dont want to ruin their beliefs. I wont do it consciously, but unconsciously is something i really have no control over.
What should i do?
