More Amazon
So, I'm booked to fly down to Cape Town on Saturday morning, spend the weekend with my cousins (the younger ones -- a little less chaos there) and head over to Amazon at 10h00 on Monday. The flight back is on Tuesday morning (because nobody but BA could get me back on Monday night and they only had an awkwardly timed flight on Saturday) so I'll have to pay for an extra day of car rental, but that's fine. I may not even hire a car, but it'll be easier all round if I do, I think. A few hundred rand is a small price to pay for the comfort of not having to rely on anyone else for transport.
Interestingly, the Nationwide flights I'm booked on are cheaper then the BA by enough to make up the extra day's car rental, which would be a bonus if I was paying for the flights as well. Since Amazon are paying for the flights and (I assume) a day's car rental, the extra comes out of my pocket. Ah well, it's still a *very* cheap weekend in Cape Town for me with a good chance of shiny employment to come out of it.
Now I just need to see if I can borrow a laptop for the trip. (Don't worry, rooijan, I know you'll need yours over the weekend -- I was planning to ask someone else.)
