How many of you have heard about FanLib?

The launch of FanLib.com represents the coming of age of fan fiction, or "fanfic." Fan fiction is the original consumer generated media - original works of fiction written by fans and based on their favorite TV, film and book characters.
FanLib.com launches with co-promotional partners including HarperCollins, Penguin Books, Showtime Networks, Simon & Schuster, and Starz Entertainment. The launch partners are heavily featured and have customized marketing integrated on the site while providing promotion for FanLib.com.[...]
I know at least two writers in my F-list who received pre-launching invitations, but they aren't there. There's no TMNT story yet, and only one person I recognize in the fandoms I follow (HMD, JL, LU, XM, CCS, AF, ST:TOS, RGB, HP, LOTR). The site is so full with ads that my eyes hurt. Really, really bad.
But there's an interesting bit in the 'Most Popular' feature: with a list that has a total of 30 pages with 75 fandoms each, page number one includes Star Trek: Enterprise, Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation. No Deep Space 9, but ... BUT. There are other popular fandoms too (Harry Potter, is that a surprise?), but this trend makes me kind of nostalgic. This is the show that, some could say, started it all. Did you heard it, FanLib guys? You do not represent fanfiction's coming to age. At all.
