General Rod has been set free. A federal judge in Chicago has ordered Governor Rod Blagojevich released on his own recognizance after the Democrat was hit with federal corruption charges.
So that means that he'll still get to at least nominate a senate candidate and he's still governor. At least until he's impeached and convicted. Too bad it just took them so long - anybody who lives downstate *has to* agree that the man has been bad for Illinois - at least as bad as George Ryan was. Maybe NEXT TIME we'll elect someone who's not corrupt. A sales guy here was laughing, saying that next time we have to make sure to not elect someone from Chicago for governor. I said "yeah, or president." He stopped laughing...can't figure out why.
