I CAN WALK!
Well... kinda....
Saw the doc today, got more xrays. Everything is healed back up picture perfect. I can start Physical Therapy next week or the week after. Also got the arch support today. Doc said I could begin walking again with no problems. Said the pace/timing was all up to me. Said I can transition from the boot to my normal shoes, to nothing at my own pace.
I have been trying to walk whenever possible today. Damn, its hard to learn to walk again. Its not soo much that it hurts, as it feels rather uncomfortable. However, I did manage to walk up the stairs for the first time since september 30th. no more crawling up them for me. Feels great.
I did alright walking with the boot today, so I am trying to make the transition to my shoe. Doc said I could spend 2 days with the transitioning or 2 weeks... well... I'm going for 2 days. The only problem is that the incisions still need more time to heal, so the stitches were not removed. This isn't too bad, however I do experience some pain from the incisions... So kind of kills the momentum sometimes.
Ah well, I was cleared to walk, and overall I'm enjoying my drunk-10month-old-baby-swaying-walking kinda deal that I got going on.
