I've snapped out of the funk I was in the last time I posted. Think I just needed some time and rest to collect my thoughts.
Some positive things have happened since then, most notably the scraping of a 68 for my other collection, the restarting of my exercise regimen following the end of collections, and gaining something bordering on a quiet maturity that I don't think I've possessed before. Hard to describe, really. But yeah, am back on course with work and whatnot and doing quite ok.
Reaching the midway point of the academic year, and I'm starting to get a bit homesick. Especially after watching Singapore Dreaming and being regaled by Hokkien left right center, plus watching the family devour chili crab and durian in one scene. Waaaahhhh. If they had whacked some bak chor mee and nasi lemak I would have just rolled over and cried. Think I might very well consider going home for Xmas next academic year. But we shall see.
Finished marathon viewing of 24 season 5, which is very awesome. I highly recommend it as a weekend chillout activity. If you can suspend your disbelief at the sheer improbability of that many things happening at the same time, it is very enjoyable indeed. Season 6 is showing on tv every Sunday, which roxorz my socks.
Point of woe: Lakers and Heat are both floundering. Very sad. Hope D-Wade and Kobe step up soon, and make a run at a win streak. Miami really sucks this year man. At least the Lakers are still decent.
No concrete Easter plans yet, which is weird cos I've more or less confirmed summer plans for an awesome Greece trip. Hmms. Maybe I'll wait for my sis to get over here and make some travel plans with her. Or go with Lixin and Abiel and co. Or something. Somehow got no real impetus to go anywhere. Feel like just slacking around. But I know that I'll get real sian with that after about 2 weeks, so need to go somewhere. Hmms indeed.
Shoutouts to people back home: Miss you guys. ODAC/63/Lamer pple. It's been a long time. 5 more months! Sorry for all the birthdays I've missed. I'll make up for it when I get back.
Happy days are here to stay, with Fourier series leading the way. Stress/strain analysis soon to follow. Oh, joy.
