5-hour course? no, worse...
My dad gave me a call this past week, and he asks me, "Do you wanna take this boating safety course?" And I figure since everyone else is going, that I may as well.... So I say yes after thouroughly thinking it through.... We went this morning, and the first thing I think when I step inside is, "Man does that instructor look like a redneck..." And that's exactly what he and everyone else there was, apparal, personality, and all... I thought, "Maybe this will be like the 5-hour course.." You know, a couple lame videos, and a half-hour break, and it's done... damn, it was so much worse.... like for one, instead of a few lame videos, it was a shitload of super-lame slide shows off of a computer that they couldn't even operate.... and when we did get to the video, it wasn't just lame, it was put-me-to-sleep-for-a-very-long-time lame.... and these instructors weren't even close to that nutbag lady from the 5-hour course, at least she was funny... but these guys stuttered on every word they said, you know.... "Hoo... Hook.... Hook-ed o.. on pa-honics..." And we didn't get the good old half-hour break, we got a 5-minute break, not even long enough for my morning ritual... so here's what I got out of it all.... never go back again.... dear god, never again.....
